Technical Decompression Certification
|
If so.....then the NAUI Technical Decompression Certification is for you!
This certification is a rigorous training program that's not for everyone. It requires a time commitment, equipment commitment and serious discipline.
But the rewards for completing the training are huge. You can comfortably explore shipwrecks to 150ft and you'll learn decompression management of gasses. This course is also a stepping stone to gaining more deep water experience which eventually will allow you to become certified as a Tri-Mix diver (Helium based gas). This is Rick’s favorite type of training to teach, mostly because it gives him an excuse to get out to wrecks he doesn’t get to dive as often as he would like.
Don't Procrastinate. Because of the open water training constraints in deep water, space is extremely limited.
So, if you want to get involved in legitimate decompression diving, without the insecurity of 'just winging it' then sign up today.

Classroom Theory: $350
This portion only without the water work doesn't have a certification but it does gives you the knowledge base needed for planning deep dives. This entry level course in technical diving combines NTEC (Naui Tech. Equipment Configuration with Decompression Techniques.) When water work is completed, it produces a diver capable and certified to dive to a maximum depth of between 150’. The diver will be using air (or up to a 25% nitrox mix) as the “Back Gas”/ bottom gas, and 50-100% nitrox for required decompression stops. The course work will involve approx. 12 hours of lecture covering: N-Tec (Gear configuration). Decompression Theory including NAUI RGBM decompression tables, decompression using a gas switchable computers, Emergency procedures, related diver physiology in relation with decompression, explanation of “END” depth concept, dive planning, logistics and contingencies.
Open Water Training: $200 In water skill development will include training in: switching malfunctioning regulators with isolation valves, air sharing using long hoses, deployment of surface markers/float, proper trim and buoyancy throughout the dives, emergency procedures including out of air and oxygen seizure at depth. Dates: June 1, 9, 15 and July 17
Both Class Theory & Open Water Training: $499 The above prices do not include charter boat fees, gas fills, scuba equipment such as gas-switchable dive computer, pony bottle, large volume tank, isolation valve, lift bag and reel. Double tanks are acceptable but not required. |
