- Dry Suit Seminar
Feelin' the chill?
Freezing your tush?
Diving doesn't have to be that way. There's an obvious alternative, its dry suits. Sub-Aquatic Sports & Services rents drysuits but first you need to know how to use one.
Join us for a one evening seminar to become familiar with these suits. The first stop is at Sub-Aquatic Sports where you’ll be fitted into a rental suit. At that time, you’ll learn about the different styles and features, from neoprene to crushed neoprene, bilaminates and trilaminates, front zip to back zip and more. Next, you be given a quick overview on how to care and maintain these specialized suits.
The next stop is the water. One of our instructors will take you to a local lake or pool for skill work. Time is spent relearning proper buoyancy control because drysuits are totally different than wetsuits. Dive weights will be adjusted to compensate for undergarments and the suit. You learn to efficiently dump air from the suit and also how to handle emergency accents.

You’ll Learn ....
Different styles and fabrics of drysuits
Care and maintenance of drysuits
Buoyancy control – welcome to a whole new world
Emergency procedures
How to use the inflation/exhalation valves
