Safety Through Education

Entry Level Classes

The adventure begins here!  Become a certified diver and start exploring the underwater world.     Classes start every month, with lots of location to choose from.

Learn how to safely and effectively snorkel dive before your next vacation.  All ages welcome.

Not sure if scuba diving is for you?  Try it without having to committing to a complete certification class.  Need an unique party idea?  Have a scuba party.

Continued Education Classes

 

So you're certified, now what? Diving offers a wide range of options i.e. dry suit diving, search and recovery, night diving, underwater photography, deep diving. Advance Diver will give you a sample of six different facets to diving plus improve your buoyancy control and air consumption rate.

Even one dive accident is too many. That is our attitude and it should be yours.

If so, NAUI's Rescue Diver course is a must.   

This class approaches dive accidents and incidences on several levels

1.  How to handle an in-water emergency

2.  How to spot small problems and stop them before things gets out of hand

3.  How improve your own skills so that you won't cause or be the accident

A step beyond basic Rescue Diver,  increase your knowledge with oxygen administration and advance in-water rescue techniques.

Dive longer yet safer? Sounds like a contraction but it's not.  Diving with Nitrox is easy and perfect for the traveling diver.

The NAUI Master Scuba Diver course is an intensive program, consisting of 24 hours of academics, plus the application of the knowledge acquired via eight open water dives. The knowledge you receive will help make those experiences safe and enjoyable. Training activities may include: Skin Diving, Basic skills review, Dive rescue techniques, Environmental study or survey, Underwater navigation, Limited visibility or night diving, Search and recovery,  Light salvage, Boat diving, Deep/simulated decompression diving, U/W Photography, Dry suit orientation

Specialty Classes

Call us crazy but this is big fun.  Imagine walking upside down on the underside of the ice.  See Gull Lake like you've never seen it before.

Equipment Repair Specialty

You've spent a lot of money on your equipment so treated well. More importantly, this is your life support system underwater so it needs to be working properly.

Curious about all those fish you see in the Caribbean?  Ever wonder why they behave the way they do?  Take Paul Humanns award winning program of Watching Fish. 

Dry Suit Seminar

Don't dive cold!  There's a better way.  Dive dry and warm with a dry suit.  This class shows you how.

Capture your dive memories.  It can be as easy or as technical as you wish.  It can be digital or film, ether way, you'll have pictures to show off your adventures. Learn how here. A perfect class before heading to the ocean.

Learn how use this specialize equipment. Once this class is completed, you can rent a full face mask.  It's perfect for our Michigan dive environments.

This class can be as relaxing as drifting down the a gentle stream or as heart-pumping adrenaline rush of flying down the St. Claire river.

Leadership Courses 
 

The final step before taking an Instructors class. Learn the speaking skills and how to handle students in the water. 

Earn money doing something you love.   Become a dive instructor and teach others about the sport of scuba.

Technical Dive Courses

Technical Divers are some of the best trained, well educated divers in the sport.  Many times technically trained divers have a better knowledge base than recreational dive instructors!  The open water training is demanding, the classroom theory is very extensive, but when you have met the standards required by NAUI tec programs, you are qualified, confident, and ready to explore a part of the underwater water world that very few divers will ever see!
