When I was younger, I always was fascinated with scuba diving. In college, the fascination became reality when I was in need of PE credits and fortunately SASS was running a class at KVCC. I completed the course and was certified in November 2000 under the guidance of Shane Newmyer. I quickly developed a love for diving and aggressively completed require courses to complete instructor certification by August 2001. I enjoy wreck dives the most; and some of my favorite wrecks are located in the waters off Port Sanilac, the Straits of Mackinaw, and Grand Haven. I also enjoy diving while island-hopping on cruises and Caribbean visits; some of the places I like to frequent are the Atlantic-side of Florida, Aruba, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Curacao, and St. Thomas. Although not a wreck dive, my favorite diving adventure so far was the beautiful coastline off of St Lucia.
